What sets Little Bridges apart from other Summer Camps?
Our goal is to instill Christian values through character development, respect for others, and self-esteem in fun and meaningful ways. We do that by balancing structured activities, free play and individual hands-on exploration. Every child has opportunities to participate in arts and crafts, drama, science projects, group games, organized sports, cooking activities, swimming and fieldtrips.
We have an awesome staff to student ratio of 1:11 on site and when we are away from our facility (every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) our ratio changes to 1:6. Each counselor has been fingerprinted and has gone through CPR/First Aid training. But most importantly, each counselor is thrilled to be at Little Bridges and is dedicated to making this summer the best it can be for your child!
We think we have the perfect schedule for school age kids – we alternate between structured activities like Academic Review, Book Time and Journal Writing and summertime traditions like crafts, organized games, swimming, free time and field trips.
Mondays are filled with clubs! Cooking club, art club, sports club (held at a different local park every Monday) and Engineering for Kids (a STEM-based program).
Tuesdays and Thursday are swim days! We travel in our own Little Bridges vans to the local high school pools. The pools are staffed with lifeguards and provide pool experiences for every level of swimmer (or non-swimmer).
Wednesdays are field trip days. Our charted bus takes our campers to different destinations around the Bay Area. We spend the whole day at amusement parks, museums, zoos, the SF pier or water parks.
Fridays at LB Summer Camp are geared toward FUN! Our campers are treated to a special attraction right here on campus. Magicians, game trucks, theater productions, music performances and a carnival are just some of the guests we have had. Special surprise activities are also planned by our counselors that make for lots of laughs and smiles!
