The Little Bridges staff know that this is a very important time for your children. We are here to guide and encourage all children in a positive, Christian atmosphere – where all students can grow developmentally, socially and educationally. Our goal is for each child to know that they are unique, special and loved. We celebrate each child’s distinctive traits and abilities for whom God has made them to be.
Each member of the Little Bridges staff is highly qualified, meeting or exceeding the licensing standards established by the state of California in selected course work as well as experience working with young children. Each staff member is fingerprinted and cleared with Community Care Licensing prior to beginning work in the classroom.
Little Bridges provides a safe and supportive environment where your child can grow and explore. We believe in partnering with parents and truly view all our families here as extended Little Bridges family.

Jacque Kirk
Director
As the Director of Little Bridges, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. I am so proud of our quality staff and excellent program here. From the infant room to our school age program, our high standards mixed with a loving Christian environment make Little Bridges a very special place!
I have been working with children for over 35 years and education is my passion. I have a Bachelors Degree from Pacific Oaks University in Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I also have a California Teaching Credential for grades kindergarten through 12th grades and have been a teacher in the public school system. I have taught students from preschool to sixth grade and have been a Director for over 25 years.
When not at work, I enjoy working in my yard, watching all sports, traveling around California to wine tasting destinations or staying home to cook using herbs grown in my garden.
I believe in open communication and welcome hearing your opinions and ideas. My goal at Little Bridges is to provide a safe and positive environment for the children and teachers – the type of atmosphere that promotes cooperative learning, perseverance, industry, independence and responsibility.
Here’s to a great school year!
Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator
Tammy Gardner
Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator
Hello! My name is Tammy Gardner, but you can call me Ms. Tammy or “Tammy Time.” For over 16 wonderful years, I have been a proud member of the Little Bridges community. “Tammy Time” is our engaging Bible and Music program, where I have the privilege of using music as a ministry to inspire and connect with our students. In our sessions, we dance joyfully, praise wholeheartedly, explore various instruments, and dive into the depths of God’s love throughout the year.
With 30 years of experience in the early childhood education field, including roles as a teacher, program director, and curriculum developer, I have a solid foundation in nurturing young minds. I have also worked as a private music teacher, further enhancing my skills. Holding a Master’s Degree in Child Development and Family Sciences, I am deeply passionate about developing effective curricula. I love collaborating with our fantastic staff to create enriching activities that not only help your children grow but also prepare them for a seamless transition to kindergarten and our School-Age programs.
As a mother of two almost grown children, I find immense joy in watching your children blossom and develop a lasting love for music and God during their time at Little Bridges. Outside of work, I cherish moments spent with our four dogs and cheering on the Golden State Warriors. I invite you to join us in this enriching journey!
Assistant Director/School Age Coordinator
Samantha Matichak
Assistant Director/School Age Coordinator
I’ve proudly been part of the Little Bridges community as a teacher since 2016, beginning as a floater before teaching in the Delightful Ducks, Peaceful Pandas, and then as a teacher and coordinator of the School Age Program. Prior to Little Bridges I was a Rec Leader for nearly ten years, staffing and running preschool classes, after school programs, youth sports, and day camps, and I spent many years coaching middle and high school volleyball. I’m passionate about supporting children’s development as a whole - guiding their social & emotional development and understanding of who they are and what they can do, while also supporting their academic growth and physical development.
I’ve been fortunate enough to experience the care of Little Bridges from a parent perspective as well. My husband and I share two boys (currently a Panda and a Frog) who have attended LB since they were infants. When I’m not at work I love to flex my creative muscles by crafting and baking, I love playing board and trivia games with my close extended family, and my boys and I love exploring the Bay Area and beyond with our dog, Lando.
It’s a joy to be a part of the Little Bridges team and I’m honored to continue to support our families and teachers in this administrative role. I’m looking forward to meeting your family and sharing all that Little Bridges has to offer.
